Yes, my dear friends, they are “Naseembanu and Mustafa Hasan” proud parents of Youngest IPS officer – Safin Hasan.

He cracked one of the toughest exams UPSC Civil Services Exam in 2017 and achieved AIR (All India Rank) 570, with his Strong determination and never give up attitude.

Safin’s Bio & Early days

Safin Hasan, born on Friday 21 July 1995 in Palanpur of Gujarat. Safin Hasan follows Islam and he belongs to Juliya caste. He, born on Friday 21 July 1995 in Palanpur of Gujarat. He lives in the medical area of Kanodar village in Gujarat with his family Father – Mustafa Hasan, Mother – Naseemabanu, and Asnain Hasan, his younger brother. His mother and father work at diamond Mines.

Safin, in his younger years, was very hard as he comes from a lower-middle-class family. There were days in his life where he slept on an empty stomach. While he is growing up Safin’s parents worked very hard- His father Mustafa Hasan was a part-time electrician, his mother Naseemabanu was a domestic cook in their locality, where she used to wake up at 3 AM and prepare around 20-200 kilos of Indian flatbread aka “Rotis”, in Marriages, Banquet halls, Local Restaurants to support Safin’s education.

Safin’s Inspiration

Safin acquired primary education from the Gujarati government medium school. He didn’t know English until his 11th class. In his school days, a Collector visited for Inspection and he was amazed as to how everyone was paying respect to him. With this excitement, he asked his aunt “Why everyone is paying that much respect to him?”. His aunt replied to him, “Everyone is respecting his position of Collector, which is very respectable, very difficult but not impossible to achieve”. His Aunt’s words made him set a target in his life and at that moment he decided to join Civil Services.

Safin completed his higher education in Ascent School of Science Palanpur, Gujarat.  His school principal philanthropic and benevolent, waived off Rs. 80,000 of school fees. The principal used to praise him and stated on many occasions as “Brilliant Student”.

Safin said, “I share no blood relation with those who helped me but share a Human relation which is above all, that’s why you see me here today”.

After listening to these words, I am amazed, as to how a young kid, who is still in his school days, can think so generously. He quoted strangers, local business persons, Polra family financed his 2-year stay in the National capital New Delhi, which includes fees for his coaching, and accommodation at Sardar Vallabh Bhai National Institute of Technology (NIT) Surat.

Social works and volunteering in various NGO’s

He also has a passion for volunteering in various NGOs, actively participated in Social works, and loves to spend time with people of less fortune.

In Summer and Winter vacations, Safin used to take tuitions for school children which helped him earn his pocket money. He also has a passion for volunteering in various NGOs, actively participated in Social works, and loves to spend time with people of less fortune.

While traveling to the examination center for his first attempt to UPSC exam, he met with an accident which resulted in many serious injuries including on his head. In spite of all this, he didn’t miss his exam. He got admitted to the hospital only after he finished his examination. He underwent Knee Ligament Surgery right after his admission. Regardless of all these obstacles, he cracked the UPSC examination in 2018 with AIR 570.

On March 23, 2019, he attended an interview. A month ago before this interview, Safin had to visit the hospital, for his regular checkup and in the process, Doctors found out, his White Blood Cell (WBC) count was low and was suffering from Urinary Tract Infection. With the blessings of his parents and well-wishers, he came out with flying colors in the interview and stood second-highest in the Personality test.

Finally, he achieved his dream day and was escorted by his bodyguards.

“I am grateful for the welcome kit and feeling privileged to be in this prestigious service in Gujrat Cader.” Safin wrote these lines in his FB profile.

Safin is popular among society and hence we could his popularity in the form of below painting by a fan follower.

In an interview, he said, his dream was to become an IAS officer but he couldn’t clear it. He would be trying again to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming an IAS officer. But, now he would be using this opportunity to serve our country.

He also wished, he wanted to pay back to the society, strangers, parents, lovely couple Hussainbhai and Jairenabai, who have held his hands and opened doors from him to fulfill his dreams. His ultimate dream is to start the state of art residential school for poor children of Kanodar village in Gujarat. He said he will fulfill this dream with his own earnings and payback to society especially his mother Naseembanu.
